NGPC flash board
Some MVS cartridges were shipped with a special NeoGeo Pocket cartridge-like daughterboard replacing one of the P ROMs on PROGLBA PROG boards by flash memory.
This practice is tought to be used for shortening the time-to-market of some games, allowing to start production without having the games fully debugged. This board allowed easy servicing of first versions of the game programs: If a critical bug was found, carts could be easily reprogrammed using SNK's NGPC flash writer which was certainly sitting somewhere in their factory.
