MVS cartridge
MVS cartridges are made of two boards:
- The PROG board which holds the P (68k code) and V (samples) ROMs.
- The CHA board which holds the C (sprite graphics), V (z80 code) and S (fix graphics) ROMs.
Unlike AES cartridges, the graphics data aren't pre-decoded by a NEO-ZMC2 chip. The complete graphics data bus is exposed to the cartridge edge, it is then decoded by the NEO-ZMC2 (or PRO-CT0) chip included on the board.
Since NEO-ZMC2 isn't present, NEO-ZMC is used to direct the ADPCM-A and ADPCM-B data requests to one V ROM.
The cartridge connector has 2*2*60 (240) pins. See pinouts.
