They exist !

They're probably first generation chipset clones as there's always 3 custom chips (which would act as PRO-B0, PRO-C0 and LSPC-A0).

"Gobit" version

  • Vertical board is fixed
  • Custom chips are marked "68C101", "68C202" and "68C303"
  • Socketed Toshiba Z84 Z80 and Moto 68k CPUs
  • Rebranded YM2610 (or clone ?) as ECW08-4
  • 4 ROMs as in legit MVS boards: BIOS, SFIX, M1 ROM, LO
  • Backup RAM seems to be saved by a goldcap

"Goldstar" version

  • DIP format 68k CPU
  • Through-hole 5% resistors video DAC
  • Custom chips are marked "NEN0.4","007","NEN08","NEN09"
  • Socketed legit YM2610
  • 4 ROMs as in legit MVS boards: BIOS, SFIX, M1 ROM, LO
  • Backup RAM seems to be saved by a goldcap
